But it’s great to meet people that I haven’t seen in awhile and to start my first week being apart of the school paper The Union.Students should speak with an advisor before registering. Overall, the first week here at El Camino is never easy going because students are coming back to school to get books and sit in class for hours and professors are coming back from their break to lecture for hours.

Students have to come extra early to get the right parking spot so they won’t be late to class. I honestly am glad I don’t have a car currently because the parking at El Camino is below sub par especially in the morning. There was a class of mine that so many people, that students were sitting on the floor for the first day only. What seems like a obvious choice is to buy books online, but students won’t have there Pell Grant given to them the next week so they won’t be able to by books online just yet.Ĭlass rooms are always full, due to the students who applied early on, but dozens of students trying to add in makes things hard for professors trying to keep track of everything and trying to give a lesson as well. Trying to find the exact book from the book store and having to wait in line to purchase books is always a hassle too. Getting text books are definitely the most important thing to get for students. Here at El Camino students are constantly trying to get themselves together for the first week. The same student woes at El Camino College is no different. Students rushing to get to class by car or public transport, as well as trying find class rooms. The first week of school is always hectic.
